Below you will find a list of our most frequently asked questions about getting married in Cyprus. If you can’t find the answer to your question here, then please contact us.

What if we don’t need items in our selected package?

Our quotes are completely transparent, with individual prices for each item and service. You can trust that there are no hidden fees involved and if there is something you don’t want in the quote, then we’re happy to take this out.

Can I choose my wedding cake design?

Of course you can! When you make a booking with us, we will send an introductory email to Love Island Cakes with your contact details. They will then reach out to you directly to discuss the delicious cake options for your event. We have chosen to have Love Island handle this process because of the endless possibilities in cake designs and flavours. They are experts in this field and will guide you in creating your dream wedding cake. Once you have finalised your design, Jo at Love Island will provide you with the cost and book the cake for you. She will also coordinate with us for delivery and set up on the day of your event, so you can relax and enjoy your special day without any worries.

What if we want additional filming?

Absolutely, our Photo and Video team have you covered they offer standard packages as well as tailor-made packages all photos and videos will be delivered digitally. They also offer social media packages, just ask your planner for more details.

What if my package doesn't include catering services?

All our packages are tailor-made just for you so if you want catering we can provide it!

What if I require alternative flowers?

All our packages are tailor-made just for you, we offer a large range of flowers so you can choose one of our standard bouquets or send us an idea of what you want and we can discuss with our florist if it’s possible to recreate this.

What happens if we want to arrange our meal later in the evening?

We will arrange catering based on the schedule we will discuss with you during the planning of your big day.

What if we have only a few guests but still require catering?

No problem our catering team can offer all types of options from personal chefs, picnic meals, grazing platters, villa breakfasts for the morning of the wedding, Just ask!

Do the caterers clear everything away after the meal?

Yes the catering team will clear away all equipment used and provided by them. Therefore any cutlery, plates and dishes for example that have been used and belong to the catering company will be cleared away and removed from the premises by the catering team.

What if we want to leave everything as it is until the next day?

Due to health and hygiene, it’s not practical to leave cutlery, plates and dishes out overnight so they will always be cleared away by the catering team.

Can you provide a bar service at our villa reception?

Yes we certainly can, we can arrange this with our speciality bar team and they have various options, such as drinks packages, cash bars, or just the hire of the bar and a bar team and you can choose to stock the bar yourself.

What happens to any leftover food?

No untouched food is ever thrown away or returned to our catering team. In our experience the caterers provide more than enough food and there is likely to be food left over from the meal. The catering team will use utensils from the villa to place the remaining food and either set this out in the kitchen or an appropriate area for guests to help themselves throughout the rest of the evening should they begin to feel peckish!

What if we have more guests than our package caters for?

No problem at all to add on additional guests, the additional cost per person above what is included within your chosen package will be dependent on Menu Choice, which will be provided at the beginning of your enquiry. You may also choose to “Upgrade” the Menu that is included within your package.

What if we wish to make changes to the menu or add extra items?

Our caterers' menus are carefully thought through. They are designed to accommodate all guests, so there is something for everyone. However, changing or swapping menu items will almost always incur additional costs. If you want to add an item to your menu, we'll ask our caterers if it's possible and how much it would cost. The cost depends on the amount and type of food needed. This will help you decide about any menu change.

What if we have only a few guests but still require catering?

Should you expect 15 or less guests but still require catering services you are still welcome to choose one of our packages or enquire with our office for our “In Villa Catering Services” where an alternative catering service may be provided for smaller groups.

When is the remaining balance due for the wedding package?

This is dependent on what options you have chosen in your bespoke tailor made packages, we will advise this for each couple.

What about the payment for the private registrar?

This is always paid directly to the Municipality in Euros Cash or by Credit Card in resort. Your wedding planner will be escorting you to the appropriate Municipality to make this payment. This payment is in addition to your chosen package.

What happens if there's bad weather on the day of the wedding?

Fortunately, in Cyprus we are blessed with glorious sunny days nearly all summer however occasionally we can experience bad weather. Obviously, this is something completely out of our control. Within reason we will endeavour to change the time of the ceremony on the day of the wedding wherever possible, and wherever feasible for all suppliers concerned but should the wedding be cancelled on the day of the wedding due to bad weather conditions, no refund is made. It is therefore recommended that you take out suitable insurance to cover the wedding.

When do we have to prepare any legal documentation?

3 months before the wedding you will automatically be sent an email with a link to our step by step document guide, and your planner will be on hand to help you through the process. We also like to check you have everything in order before leaving the UK or your home country, so we always do a complete document check prior to your arrival in Cyprus.

Do I have to have witnesses?

Yes you are required to have two witnesses, they can be relatives, family or friends as long as they are over 18 and have a passport.  If you are an Elope couple with no guests we are happy to provide two witnesses at no extra charge.

Can you arrange our transport from the airport to the villa?

We can indeed, for large or small parties we can arrange airport transfer for you which can make life much easier if you particularly if you are arriving in the evening and do not know where the villa is!! Just let us know the number of guests that require a transfer and your flight details, we will take care of the rest.

Is our wedding legal in the UK?

Yes rest assured that your Cyprus wedding is completely legal and recognised by UK law. Due to Brexit an apostille stamp will be required on your wedding certificate in order for it to be legal on your return to the UK. The additional cost of this is from €50 payable in resort in cash to your wedding planner in order for them to arrange this stamp and have it delivered back to you. Each extra certificate is charged at €5, this is all detailed in your wedding quote / package.

Will we know the date and time of our wedding before we arrive?

Yes, you will know this at the time of booking.

Will the ceremony be in English?

Yes. Whether you choose a Civil, Anglican or Catholic service, all ceremonies are conducted in English and your wedding certificate is also issued in English.

Can we use our own suppliers?

We understand that you may wish to arrange your own hair, makeup, and some other suppliers. However, please note that we cannot be held responsible for any issues or concerns that may arise with these suppliers. You will need to communicate with them directly, make all arrangements, and payments.

Please be advised that suppliers such as photographers, videographers, decor, DJs & Catering *MUST* be booked through us and one of our approved suppliers unless otherwise agreed upon prior to booking our services.  We work exclusively with reputable and reliable suppliers who are already approved at your chosen venue. We take great pride in delivering flawless events and are confident that our suppliers will contribute to the success of your special day. Please note that the behavior and service of any suppliers you choose to book on your own will still reflect on us as the planner. We have worked diligently for over 10 years to build our 5-star reputation and would hate for any negative perception to be associated with our services due to the actions of an outside supplier.

If it is mutually agreed upon prior to booking our services that you will hire your own photographer and/or videographer, please note that we retain the right to charge an additional 20% planning fee.

When will our wedding photographs be ready?

The final edited photos are delivered digitally 6-10 weeks after the wedding date, you will however receive a “Sneak Peek” of your photos within 48 hours, this is approx 10 to 20 photos to tell a mini story of the day.
